These internal doors were imported from the mainland, they have a satin finish and come in different colored woods.

The Internal doors are now fitted, we have chosen brushed aluminium door furniture to match the clean lines of the doors.

postheadericon Carpentry update for the Pergola

LANZAROTE CARPENTERS

The pergola is now finished, we have installed the aluminium sliding roof panels and also the roller blinds that act as wind breaks.

The Blinds were supplied and fitted by Sol y Sombra S.L. based in Tias Lanzarote they specialise in all types of blinds, awnings and canopies. You can visit their web site at www.solysombrasl.com

We worked closely with the owner with the design of this project and I am very pleased with the finished result of the pergola project, it has combined the three different materials to reach the objectives of sun or shade when needed and to block the wind while retaining the incredible views from the terrace.

This pergola has been built from top quality timber, we carefully inspect the grain of each piece of timber before purchasing it for straightness to reduce the chances of the beams bowing over their life time. This is important as practically all timber on the island has been naturally dried therefore it has a very high moisture content.

The pergola has been sealed using three coats of bondex and we have used fibre glass and rubber paint to waterproof the top.

This is a semi shaded Pergola which when completed will have three sliding aluminium louvered  sections to supply shade when required.

Made from top quality materials it has been waterproofed with three coats of Bondex, one of Macassar Mate and two of Macassar Satinado and sanded with a fine wet and dry sandpaper between each coat. The roof was then waterproofed by using fibreglass and rubber paint.

We will be installing the roof panels in the next few weeks and Sol Y Sombra from Tias will be supplying roll-down wind breaks for one side.
